Creating a Smart Contract with Chainlink

Chainlink Dallas: Connected Smart Contracts

Friday, February 7, 2020, 12:00 – 2:00 AM UTC

About this event

Join us as we show you how to create a smart contract which makes use of the Chainlink network. Smart contracts are programs that execute on the blockchain. In this case, we'll be using Ethereum's blockchain to deploy and run our smart contract. Programming experience is not necessary to attend this meetup, but having some experience will help you understand the topics to be discussed. If you would like to build along with the group, please bring your laptop.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that enables smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds, web APIs, and traditional bank payments. Chainlink is consistently selected as one of the top blockchain technologies by leading independent research firms such as Gartner. It is well known for providing highly secure and reliable oracles to both large enterprises (Google and SWIFT) and leading smart contract development teams (Web3 Foundation, Wanchain, OpenLaw, Zeppelin, Accord and more).
